Preparation & Protection
Your skin is cleansed and prepared. Protective eyewear is provided. A cooling gel may be applied to enhance comfort during the procedure.
Nordlys™ Treatment
The selected Nordlys™ applicator is applied to the treatment area, delivering precisely calibrated light or laser pulses. The integrated cooling system ensures comfort throughout. You may feel a mild warming or light snapping sensation.
Post-Treatment Soothing
A calming serum and SPF protection are applied to the treated area. Treated pigmented spots may appear slightly darker initially — this is a normal sign that the treatment is working effectively.
Aftercare & Follow-Up
You receive detailed aftercare instructions including sun protection guidance. We schedule your next session 3-4 weeks later. Most concerns require 2-4 sessions for optimal results.

Is the treatment painful?
Most clients describe it as a mild warm snap — similar to a rubber band lightly flicking the skin. The Nordlys™ has an integrated cooling system that keeps things comfortable throughout. Numbing cream is typically not needed.
How many sessions do I need?
Most treatments are performed as an individually tailored 3-session series. Pigmentation often shows significant improvement after just 1-2 sessions. Vascular concerns, scars, and stretch marks may require the full series. Cycle pricing applies for the recommended series.
When will I see results?
Pigmented spots typically darken within 24-48 hours, then gradually flake off over 1-2 weeks, revealing clearer skin beneath. Vascular improvements are often visible within days as redness diminishes. Collagen benefits develop progressively over 4-8 weeks.
Is it safe for my skin type?
The Nordlys™ platform can be adjusted for a wide range of skin types. During your consultation, we assess your skin characteristics and customize the parameters accordingly. Some very dark skin tones may require alternative approaches — we discuss this during the assessment.
Can I combine Nordlys™ with other procedures?

Can Nordlys™ treat scars and stretch marks?
Yes — Nordlys™ effectively treats various types of scars (acne, post-operative, traumatic) as well as stretch marks. The targeted light energy stimulates collagen remodeling and tissue regeneration. Most scar and stretch mark treatments are performed as a 3-session series for optimal results.
How does Lip Laser work?
Targeted laser energy is applied to the lip area to stimulate the body's own collagen production. Over the following weeks, natural collagen builds up — volume, texture, and contour improve progressively. The procedure is non-invasive, with no injections and no fillers. Most clients plan 3-4 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart for optimal results.
What's the difference between laser and IPL?
A laser emits a single, focused wavelength of light — very precise, ideal for specific targets. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light filtered to address a wider range of concerns in one session. The Nordlys™ platform includes both: its SWT® IPL technology filters light with narrowband precision for pigmentation and vascular concerns, while its fractional laser applicators handle resurfacing and scar treatment.
